FLCCT Board of Directors
- Bob Sandera Executive Director Bob Sandera joined the FLCCT in 2006 and has been on the Board of Directors since 2008. Bob earned his undergraduate degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Arizona State University and a Masters Degree in Business Management from Troy State University. After retiring from a 23 year career in the US Air Force - where he flew tactical jet aircraft - he then worked several years in Austin as a Program Manager. - Michael Hernandez President Michael Hernandez joined FLCCT in April of 2010 and has served as Secretary on the Board of Directors since September of 2010. He has a B.A. in History from Middlebury College. Michael's career in business development includes consulting and management positions in non-profit international development, new media and petroleum engineering. He specializes in helping clients improve their businesses by addressing issues such as strategic goals, organizational structure and operational efficiency. He is currently Manager of Communications and Business Development at Deep Blue International, LLC, an engineering consulting firm in the petroleum industry. e-mail Michael: MHernandez@flcct.org
- Angela Jo Medina Vice-President Angela-Jo Touza-Medina, the President of the Board, has been serving on the board since 2007 and volunteering with the FLCCT since 2006. Her career includes positions as Education Program Manager at Caritas of Austin, various roles in UN initiatives, Human Rights Observer at CDH Fray Bartolomé de las Casas, Founder and General Coordinator of an internet-based human rights NGO, Founder and CEO of an Event Management firm and freelance consultant, translator, interpreter and facilitator. e-mail Angela: AMedina@flcct.org
- Chris RileyTreasurer As a Program Impact Specialist at the OneStar Foundation, Chris provides fiscal oversight, contract compliance monitoring and technical assistance to a portfolio of AmeriCorps sub-grantees. She has worked at Jaime Phillips and Associates, PC, SafePlace, and Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Central Texas. She has been a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Austin Area Urban League - Young Professionals and has had some involvement with the National Association of Black Accountants and the National Black MBA Association. - Sandra Molinari Workplace Education Chair Sandra Molinari, Life Skills Coordinator at SafePlace, has been serving on the board since January 2010 and volunteering with the FLCCT since 2003. Her career has been primarily focused on the non-profit social services sector, including positions in program coordination, life skills training, violence prevention education, and language teaching. - Lorraine Bier Youth Education Chair Lorraine Bier, the FLCCT's Youth committee Chair, has been serving in this position since November of 2008 and has been a volunteer with the organization since June of '08. During her career in computing, she worked as a programmer, a tester, a project manager, and a process engineer in the defense, semiconductor, and hardware industries. Lorraine has a BS in Computer Science and a BA in Mathematics from San Francisco State University, is an accredited Project Management Professional, and Advanced Toastmaster. e-mail Lorraine: YouthEd@flcct.org
- Sally Borie Volunteer Training and Development Chair Sally Borie, the FLCCT Volunteer Training Chair, has been serving on the FLCCT Board in this position, as past President and as a volunteer instructor since 2004. She has been involved with financial literacy since 1992 with Consumer Credit Counseling Service and is the education coordinator with CCCS in Austin. Sally received her BS in Home Economics Education from Seton Hill College and her MS in Family Economics and Management from the Pennsylvania State University. Sally has been a member of the Association of Financial Counselors, Planners and Educators and has served on the Education Committee for the National Foundation for Consumer Credit. - Rossi Emerson English Community Engagement Rossi Emerson English, Board Member at Large, has been serving on the board since August 2010 and volunteering with the FLCCT since August 2010. Rossi has been with Nike Golf since August of 2004 as account manager of Central Texas working with Country Clubs and Golf shops. Previously she has worked in the Test and Measurement field with Dell Inc. and Simco Electronics. Rossi has a Bachelor of Science in Speech Communications from the University of Texas at Austin and is a lifetime member of the Texas Exes.
The Financial Literacy Coalition of Central Texas activities are coordinated by Texas AgriLife Extension, Travis County. FLCCT Programs serve all people regardless of socioeconomic level, race, color, sex, religion, disability, or national origin.
